Diagnostic Testing
Unlike tests such as the IGAP, Iowa, Terra Nova, and Prairie State, clinical diagnosis identifies how students assimilate, process, store, and retrieve information.
In most cases, it identifies why students struggle with reading and reading-related subjects, fail to organize their time and responsibilities effectively, and/or score poorly on academic tests, even though they do well on daily assignments.
Clinical diagnosis provides an understanding of students':
- Auditory and visual processing
- Processing speed and accuracy
- Long- and short-term memory
- Conceptual and logical reasoning
- Comprehension knowledge (what a student has currently assimilated and brings to each new learning experience)
Clinical diagnosis enables:
- Teachers and tutors to tailor materials and strategies to suit a student's particular need
- Students to appreciate their strengths and understand their weaknesses
- Parents to help students address areas of weakness, maximize strengths, and bolster self-confidence
In short, clinical diagnosis enables parents and students to chart a course through high school and college that effectively addresses the courses, strategies, and intervention that helps students maximize their learning potential.
Diagnostic Testing Fees:
- Full battery of cognitive and achievement testing: $385.00
- Achievement Testing: Upper levels: $125.00 Primary: $95.00
